The CIMS team is excited to introduce the latest update to our cemetery management software, CIMS 4.3! This update was released to all users on December 15th. This release brings a host of new features and improvements designed to enhance your user experience and streamline cemetery operations. Enhanced Work Order Functionality
- Start and Due Times: Work orders now support optional start and due times, in addition to dates. These times are also reflected on the calendar, providing clearer scheduling.
- Custom Inputs: You can now add custom inputs to work orders, allowing for greater flexibility in tracking and managing tasks.
Multi-Map Space Reporting (Platinum Users)
- The new "Map to Space" report allows you to easily generate reports tied to specific spaces. Simply select a space, go to the "Reports" tab, and access this feature from the right-hand flyout.
Work Order Map Integration (Platinum Users)
- A new feature in the Work Order Web Application enables you to display all work orders on the map. This visual representation simplifies task management and helps you identify work locations at a glance.
Calendar Subscriptions
- Users can now sync your CIMS calendar with external programs like Outlook or Google Calendar. This integration ensures you can view and manage cemetery events directly alongside your other commitments.
Improved Search Capabilities
- New Fields: Search options have been expanded for customer and burial records, including communication types and addresses.
- Saved Searches: Save frequently used search queries and rerun them with ease. This feature is available across all search types.
Map and Visualization Enhancements
- Map Pins Update: For Gold users, rendering large numbers of pins on maps has been optimized for faster performance and better display.
- Reserved By Label: Platinum users can now display reserved owner names directly on the map for reserved spaces.
- New Marker Shapes: Platinum users can access additional marker shapes, including the Star of David and obelisk options.
Expanded Data Handling
- Download large datasets as CSV files directly from search results or reports. This makes it easier to analyze and share cemetery data in programs like Excel.
Customer Record Improvements
- Next of Kin (NOK): Assign and edit NOK status for contacts.
- Company Records: Manage company-related customer records and include them in searches.
- Birth Date Validation: Warnings now appear if birth and death dates are inconsistent.
- Media Integration: Attach media files to customer communications.
Reminders and Notifications
- Users now see only their individual reminders upon logging in unless specified otherwise by administrators.
Location Tools for Mobile Devices (Platinum Users)
- View and copy latitude and longitude directly from mobile devices for precise location tracking.
Jewish Date Support and Yahrzeit Reminders
- This optional feature calculates and displays Jewish/Hebrew dates and Yahrzeit anniversaries for deceased individuals, along with new reports for upcoming Yahrzeit dates.
New Reports
- Responsible Party Report: Provides detailed contact information for space owners, burials, and marker purchasers, including NOK information.
- Complete Owner with Burials Report: Consolidates owner and burial data into a single comprehensive report.
Bug Fixes
This update also includes numerous bug fixes to enhance system reliability, such as improved media display for spaces, better customization options for Burial Search, and corrections for data handling issues.
