How to Use the CIMS Cost Editing Tool

At CIMS, we offer a range of unique tools designed to make your cemetery management experience seamless and efficient. One standout feature is our cost updating tool, which is user-friendly and provides flexibility in cemetery plot pricing. This is a tool that allows you to select certain “Available” spaces in your cemetery and update their price without having to click on each individually.

Here are some key benefits of incorporating this tool into your cemetery operations:

With these benefits, it's clear how effective this tool can be for your cemetery. To implement the cost updating tool, follow these simple steps:

Select the Cemetery Name

In the top left corner of CIMS Light, Gold, or Platinum, select the name of the cemetery you would like to use the cost updating tool on.

Select "Edit Cemetery"

Next, select the “Edit Cemetery” option in the drop-down menu.

Go to the “Configuration” tab

In the “Edit Cemetery Settings”, select the “Configuration” tab in the top menu.

Select the “Section” drop-down menu

If you would like to apply the Cost Updating Tool to all spaces, in the “Cost Updating Tool” section, keep the “Section” drop-down on the “ALL” option. 

If you would like to apply the Cost Updating Tool to specific spaces in your cemetery; under the “Cost Updating Tool” section, select the “Section” drop-down menu, and select the Section, Block, and Lot of the spaces you would like to update.

Click the space to the right of “Space Cost” 

In the space to the right of “Space Cost”, insert the desired cost you would like to apply to the spaces you selected in the prior steps.

Click “Update Space Costs”

To finalize the “Cost Updating Tool” to the spaces and price designated in the steps above, click the “Update Space Costs” button.
