Streamline Cemetery Maintenance with the CIMS Work Order Progressive Web App

It can be hard to manage cemetery maintenance when there are a multitude of maintenance operations for field staff to execute. Office staff needs to be able to track and manage these work orders to ensure that cemetery operations continue running smoothly.

Prior to November 2023, there were two options to pass maintenance work orders from office staff to field staff in CIMS—via email or by printing a physical copy of the work order. But in November 2023, as part of the CIMS 4.2 Update, we introduced the Work Order Progressive Web App (PWA).

The CIMS Work Order PWA has an updated user interface that is more compatible with mobile technology. When office staff members assign tasks to a field staff member, field staff can scan a QR code and pull up a list of work orders on a mobile phone or tablet. They can sort work orders by staff member assigned to the task, date the task was assigned, date the task is due, type of task, or location. Using a mobile device, field staff can view all the information regarding a specific task , pull up an interactive map, add images, and mark tasks as complete. This gives field and office staff a way to collaborate and manage work orders in real time.
